John J. McNulty B.A., LL.B., Principal

John is a native of Foxford, County Mayo and is from a farming background. He attended the National University of Ireland, Galway where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Legal Science and Economics in 2003 and a Bachelor of Laws. (LL.B.) (Hons.) in 2004. He subsequently served his apprenticeship in a busy general practice in Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon and attended the Law Society of Ireland in Blackhall Place, Dublin 7 obtaining commendations in several of his examinations. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in February 2008. He subsequently set up his own practice, John J. McNulty & Co. at Cathedral Street, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon in June 2008 and in November 2008 took over as the Principal of Kevin P. Kilrane & Co.

John is the firm’s head litigator but as the Principal of the practice also works extensively in all legal services offered by Kevin P. Kilrane & Co.

Aoife Kelly B.A., LL.B., Solicitor

Aoife is a native of Cloone, County Leitrim and attended secondary school in Marian College, Mohill before studying at the National University of Ireland, Galway where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Science and History (2004) and Bachelor of Laws (2005).

Aoife has been employed in diverse roles within the firm since September 1998, firstly as a secretary/filing clerk before serving her Apprenticeship under Kevin P. Kilrane until his appointment as a District Court Judge in 2008 and then under John McNulty, the current Principal.

Aoife has been employed as an Assistant Solicitor since her admission to the Roll of Solicitors in December 2009 and is involved in all aspects of the practice. She specialises in Family Law, Litigation, Conveyancing and District Court Advocacy.

Emma Brennan B.A., LL.B., Solicitor

Emma Brennan is a native of Curraghroe, County Roscommon, having attended Secondary School in in the Convent of Mercy Roscommon Town; Emma then attended the National University of Ireland, Galway graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Legal Science and Sociology & Political Science in 2007 and a Bachelor of Laws. (LL.B.) (Hons.) in 2008. Emma joined the firm of Kevin P. Kilrane & Co, in 2009 and was admitted to the roll of Solicitors in January, 2013 and is currently employed as an Assistant Solicitor.

Emma advises clients on all areas of legal disputes, specifically in relation to Litigation including Personal Injuries, Professional Negligence and Public Liability, Probate Actions and Conveyancing.

Finbarr O’Connell LL.B., Solicitor

Finbarr is a native of Drimoleague, County Cork and is from a farming background. He attended the University of Limerick where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Hons.) in Law and European Studies (French and Sociology) in 2009. He subsequently worked as an Insurance Broker before attending the Law Society of Ireland in September 2011. He served his apprenticeship with Murray Thornton & Co. in Bantry, County Cork. As part of his apprenticeship, Finbarr was seconded to Kevin P. Kilrane & Co. in October 2013 which was initially for four months and extended until qualification. Finbarr was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in April 2014. He is also the holder of a Professional Diploma in Insurance (CIP) (2011) and a Professional Diploma in Financial Advice (QFA) (2014); both from University College Dublin.

Finbarr is employed as an Assistant Solicitor and is involved in all aspects of the practice.
